ZILMAA is a premium interior and space solutions brand specialising in slim aluminium glass partitions, modular kitchens, wardrobes, office solutions, premium hardware and customised interior products.

Alongside ZILMAA’s brand presence, this role will primarily manage the content and visual editing requirements of the Co-founder’s personal social media profile, which focuses on relatable motherhood, parenting, lifestyle and everyday-life content.

The person will work closely with the Co-founder to turn raw videos and ideas into engaging, natural and visually appealing Instagram content while maintaining a consistent visual identity.

Role

We are looking for a creative and visually sharp Social Media Content & Video Editor who understands short-form content and has a strong sense of aesthetics.

This is not just a video-cutting role. We need someone who understands visual storytelling, typography, colours, pacing, music, transitions, effects and what makes content look natural yet polished.

Key Responsibilities

- Primarily edit and manage short-form video content for the Co-founder’s personal Instagram profile.
- Edit raw footage into engaging Instagram Reels.
- Understand the intended hook, story and punchline of each video and edit accordingly.
- Add appropriate fonts, text overlays, transitions, effects, filters, music and sound effects.
- Create Instagram Stories, carousels and other simple social-media creatives.
- Maintain consistency in fonts, colours, typography and overall visual language.
- Create content that feels natural, relatable and human — not overly polished or AI/template-like.
- Occasionally create and edit social-media content for ZILMAA’s brand profile.
- Edit product and project videos showcasing ZILMAA’s interiors, kitchens, wardrobes, partitions, hardware and other products.




- Repurpose existing footage into multiple content formats.
- Keep up with current Instagram/Reels trends, editing styles and formats.
- Work directly with the Co-founder to understand content ideas and execute them quickly.
- Make revisions based on feedback and continuously improve the editing style.

Skills Required

- Strong working knowledge of CapCut
- Good knowledge of Canva
- Familiarity with other video/design editing software is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of Instagram Reels and short-form content.
- Good eye for fonts, typography, colours, spacing and composition.
- Understanding of transitions, filters, effects, music and sound design.
- Strong sense of visual aesthetics and storytelling.
- Ability to understand the mood and personality of content rather than simply following templates.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work quickly and handle multiple pieces of content.

- Previous experience with personal brands, influencers, founders, lifestyle, motherhood, interior or luxury brands.

What We Are Looking For

Someone with taste, not just technical editing skills.

You should be able to look at a raw video and instinctively understand:

- What should be cut
- Where the video needs to slow down or speed up
- Which font will work
- Where text should appear
- When to use a sound effect
- What should be highlighted
- What should be kept raw
- What will make the viewer stop scrolling The ideal candidate understands that good editing is often about knowing what NOT to add.

Candidate Test

Shortlisted candidates may be given raw footage and asked to create a 20–30 second Reel. The test will primarily evaluate creative judgement, editing sense, typography, pacing, storytelling and aesthetic taste, rather than simply software knowledge.**
