About the Role:

You will build the cloud foundation for Servotech's connected-energy platform, and the operational capability to run it. This is a build role, not a management role. The position is a senior individual-contributor role with no direct reports at present.

Key Responsibilities:

- Multi-cloud account architecture, tenancy separation, guardrails and policy enforcement
- Infrastructure as code across all environments; no manually provisioned production resources
- Identity and access management; elimination of long-lived credentials and shared logins
- CI/CD pipelines from source control through to production release
- Secrets, key and certificate management, including device certificate lifecycle operations
- MQTT broker infrastructure and topic-level authorisation
- Observability - metrics, logs, traces, alerting - and production incident response
- Backup, disaster recovery and periodic recovery testing
- Cloud cost management,



including per-device cost modelling
- Data residency, log retention and infrastructure-side regulatory compliance

Tech Stack & Requirements:

- Cloud platforms: AWS (Organizations, IAM, EKS, Lambda, IoT Core, etc.); Azure and Google Cloud competence
- Infrastructure as code: Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, Ansible
- Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD
- Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK, OpenTelemetry
- Security: TLS, X.509, HashiCorp Vault, WAF, SIEM
- Messaging: MQTT broker operation (AWS IoT Core, EMQX, HiveMQ)
- Systems: Linux, Bash, Python, Networking, DNS, Load balancing

Essential Experience:

- 5 - 8 years in cloud infrastructure, DevOps or platform engineering
- Proven experience designing and building a multi-account cloud estate
- Accountable ownership of a production environment, including on-call
- Comfortable being the only infrastructure person in the organisation
