Job Summary The Service Engineer will be responsible for installation, commissioning, servicing, and advanced troubleshooting of electronic, automation, wireless, and IoT-based industrial products. The role requires strong PCB-level fault diagnosis skills, customer interaction and hands-on field support.

Role & responsibilities

- Install, erect, commission, and troubleshoot IoT and automation panels.
- Perform electrical panel wiring, termination, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Install PLC systems, perform I/O testing and diagnostics, and handle basic programming.
- Install and commission industrial wireless and Radio Remote Control systems.
- Install and configure IoT gateways, sensors, and field devices.
- Troubleshoot RS485, Modbus RTU/TCP, Ethernet, and industrial communication networks.
- Troubleshoot sensors, actuators, relays, contactors, and control circuits.
- Perform PCB-level diagnosis, including power rail checking, signal tracing, and component-level fault identification.
- Carry out basic SMD and through-hole rework and component replacement.
- Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical and electronic test equipment.
- Handle breakdown services, preventive maintenance, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Prepare service and commissioning reports.
- Coordinate with R&D;, project, and engineering teams for technical issues.
- Provide technical support and basic product/system training to customers.




- Travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, service, and troubleshooting activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related field.
- 1-4 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, electrical/electronics service, commissioning, or related fields.
- Solid understanding of industrial electrical and electronics fundamentals.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Good knowledge of PLC fundamentals and industrial I/O.
- Hands-on experience in electrical panel wiring and troubleshooting.
- Experience in installation and commissioning of industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of RS485, Modbus, sensors, actuators, and field devices.
- Basic PCB troubleshooting and component-level fault diagnosis.
- Strong systematic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Schneider, Mitsubishi, or Delta is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of VFDs, motor control, HMI/SCADA, Industrial Ethernet, LoRa/Wireless/RF, MQTT/IoT, CAN/CANopen, or embedded electronics is an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with internal engineering teams.
