Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Java Developer with Kafka expertise to design, develop, and support scalable, high-performance enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Java-based microservices development, event-driven architectures, and real-time messaging using Apache Kafka. Experience with Apache Spark and large-scale data processing will be an added advantage.

The candidate will work closely with architects, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to build robust and resilient applications for a leading financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade applications using Java technologies.
- Develop and maintain microservices-based applications following industry best practices.
- Design and implement event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
- Build Kafka producers, consumers, streams, and event-processing applications.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of applications.
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
- Participate in application architecture, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD implementation and deployment automation.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and coding standards.
- Work in Agile teams and actively contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.

Core Technical Skills

- Robust experience in Core Java (Java 8/11/17+)
- Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Framework
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka
- Strong knowledge of event-driven and distributed system architecture




- Experience in developing REST APIs and microservices
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
- Knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning
- Experience with object-oriented design principles and design patterns
- Proficiency in Git and version control systems

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in BFSI domain, preferably Payments, EFT, or Financial Services.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable application design.
- Experience working in cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Exposure to monitoring tools such as Splunk, ELK, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace.

Education

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
