Job Overview

Example: CGI is looking for a talented and motivated Java Backend with strong expertise in Java, Springboot , Microservices,Rest & API to build and manage scalable, efficient, and reliable data pipelines and infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, working closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

Develop and enhance RESTful APIs and Microservices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Write clean, maintainable,



and efficient code following coding standards and best practices.

Perform code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning.

Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.

Design and implement database schemas, queries, and stored procedures where required.

Integrate backend services with third-party applications and internal systems.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.

Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

Contribute to architecture discussions and technical design decisions.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

6–8 years of hands-on experience in Java Backend Development.

Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17.

Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.

Strong knowledge of Microservices architecture.

Experience in developing RESTful Web Services.

Proficiency with Hibernate/JPA.

Strong knowledge of SQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

Experience with Maven or Gradle build tools.

Familiarity with Git and version control systems.

Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, Java Collections, and JVM concepts.





Experience in unit testing using JUnit and Mockito.

Knowledge of design patterns, object-oriented programming (OOP), and software engineering best practices.
