We are looking for a highly competent and experienced Sr. Quality Manager who can lead the complete Quality Function and drive operational excellence across manufacturing processes.

Position Summary The Sr. Quality Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining world-class Quality Systems across all manufacturing operations. The role requires extensive experience in Sheet Metal Manufacturing processes including Laser Cutting, CNC Bending, Welding, Powder Coating, Fabrication, and Assembly.

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership capabilities, customer quality management experience, process improvement expertise, and the ability to build a quality-driven culture within the organization. The role demands close coordination with Production, SCM, Design, Maintenance, and Customer teams to ensure zero-defect manufacturing and continuous process enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Management System (QMS)

- Lead and manage the complete Quality Assurance & Quality Control function of the plant.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and improve Quality Management Systems as per ISO standards and customer requirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, Quality Procedures, Work Instructions, and Process Standards.
- Drive system compliance through regular internal audits and process reviews.
- Maintain all quality-related documentation and records in line with audit and compliance requirements.

2. Incoming, In-Process & Final Quality Control

- Establish robust inspection systems for Incoming, In-Process, and Final Inspection activities.
- Monitor quality checkpoints across manufacturing stages to ensure product conformity.
- Ensure effective use of measuring instruments, gauges, fixtures, and inspection tools.




- Review inspection reports and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
- Minimize customer complaints through proactive process control and preventive quality measures.

3. Customer Quality Management

- Handle customer quality requirements, audits, and compliance expectations professionally.
- Lead customer complaint resolution through Root Cause Analysis and CAPA implementation.
- Ensure timely submission of corrective action reports, 8D reports, PPAP documents, and other quality submissions.
- Coordinate with customers for quality approvals, process validation, and product acceptance.
- Improve customer satisfaction index through quality improvement initiatives.

4. Process Improvement & Continuous Improvement

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rejection, rework, wastage, and process variation.
- Analyze production and rejection data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Improve process capability and manufacturing efficiency through structured quality initiatives.
- Establish KPI-driven quality performance monitoring systems.

5. Supplier & Vendor Quality Management

- Develop supplier quality standards and vendor performance evaluation systems.
- Conduct supplier audits and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Monitor incoming material quality and supplier rejection trends.
- Work closely with procurement and vendors for supplier development and process improvements.
- Ensure timely closure of supplier corrective actions.

6. Team Leadership & Development

- Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality team for high performance and accountability.
- Conduct regular training sessions on quality systems, inspection methods, and process standards.
- Build a strong quality culture across all departments.
- Ensure proper manpower planning and effective utilization of quality resources.

7. Manufacturing Process Quality Control Candidate should have hands-on experience in quality management of the following processes:

- Laser Cutting
- CNC Bending
- Sheet Metal Fabrication




- MIG/TIG Welding
- Hot Dip Galvnazing
- Powder Coating & Surface Finishing
- Assembly Line Quality
- Mechanical Inspection
- Dimensional Inspection
- Process Validation & Control

8. Audit & Compliance Management

- Lead Internal Audits, Process Audits, Product Audits, and Customer Audits.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / IATF standards and customer-specific requirements.
- Prepare audit reports and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Maintain calibration systems for all measuring and monitoring devices.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Robust exposure to Sheet Metal Manufacturing and Fabrication Industry.
- Excellent understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, and quality specifications.
- Expertise in quality tools such as:

- PPAP

- APQP

- FMEA

- SPC

- MSA

- CAPA
- 8D
- 7 QC Tools
- Hands-on experience with measuring instruments including Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Surface Plate, Dial Gauge, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and customer interactions effectively.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office tools.

Qualification

- B.Tech / BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.

Experience

- 1216 years of relevant experience in Quality Management within Sheet Metal Manufacturing Industry.
- Minimum 56 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role preferred.
