Role Description

We’re seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (5–8 years experience) to join our elite remote development team. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our state-of-the-art conversational AI product in a fast-moving and high-velocity environment. We're looking for a hands-on, technically strong engineer who thrives on building robust, scalable cloud services to power enterprise-grade AI interactions.

Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and deploy ML models including recommendation systems and semantic/vector-based search engines.

- Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including effective prompt engineering and integration with external knowledge bases.

- Analyze structured and unstructured historical data to develop production-grade, data-driven algorithms.

- Architect scalable APIs, background jobs, workflows, and data pipelines ensuring performance and reliability.

- Collaborate with product managers, backend/frontend engineers, and design teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Refactor and optimize existing systems for performance, maintainability, and extensibility.

- Write well-tested, modular code with strong emphasis on code quality, test coverage, and code reviews.





- Stay current on emerging trends in AI/ML, LLMs, and cloud-native development.

Core Requirements:

- 5+ years of hands-on Python experience, with strong understanding of OOP and software engineering principles.

- Deep experience with semantic and keyword-based search design, especially vector embedding techniques.

- Proven experience building recommendation systems and personalization algorithms.

- Proficiency in at least one Python web framework (FastAPI, Django, Flask).

- Strong data analysis skills using libraries like Pandas, NumPy, etc.

- Prior experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and prompt engineering for LLMs.

- Familiarity with cloud-based ML deployment (AWS/GCP/Azure).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, quick-paced setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience fine-tuning large language models (e.g., OpenAI, Mistral, LLaMA, etc.).

- Exposure to agentic AI systems and multi-component pipelines (MCPs).

- Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar orchestration tools.

- Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) experience.

- Prior experience in the job-candidate matching, HRTech, or staffing domain.

- Agile development experience and strong communication skills.
