We are looking for an experienced Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in STP / wastewater treatment mechanical design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for mechanical system design, equipment selection, engineering calculations, drawings, vendor coordination, and site support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical systems for wastewater treatment plants
- Prepare equipment, piping and mechanical layouts
- Design/select Pumps, Blowers, Mixers, Screens, Sludge Handling & Aeration Systems
- Evaluate vendor technical specifications and review supplier drawings
- Prepare equipment technical datasheets
- Perform pump sizing, pipe sizing, flow, pressure loss & power calculations
- Prepare/review GA Drawings, P&IDs;, Equipment Layouts & Fabrication Drawings
- Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, Process Engineers and Contractors
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning and testing
