- Experience with Big Data technologies, platform, and solutions

- Good understanding of and experience in architecting, designing and implementing on Cloud platform (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) at scale

- Should be able to foresee any risks associated with migration projects and flag the risk

- Experience in using CI and CD tools/services such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeCommit or Similar.

- Experience and working knowledge of Virtualization, Networking, Data Center, and Security

- Strong hands-on experience in integrating multiple databases like SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse etc. Familiarity with DB designing / Migration desirable.

- Experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and other cloud deployment, container technologies

- Experience with business intelligence, data integration, and SQL database implementations

- Experience leading project and development teams in design and development of complex systems.

- Experience with waterfall and agile development methodologies.

- Experience with data governance including data quality and master data management

- Experience with computer security, networking, and compute (virtual or physical) technologies

- Comprehensive understanding of relational databases and technical documentation

- Ability to analyse business requirements as they relate to the data movement and transformation processes, research, evaluation and recommendation of alternative solutions.

- Ability to transform business requirements into technical requirement documents.

- Ability to run conceptual data modelling sessions to accurately define business processes, independently of data structures and then combines the two together.





- Understands modern data warehouse concepts (real-time, cloud, Big Data) and how to enable such capabilities from a reporting and analytic stand-point.

- Demonstrated ability to serve as a trusted advisor that builds influence with client management beyond simply EDM

Responsibilities

- Leads technical teams in designing, documenting and implementing technical solutions for business problems

- Executing technical feasibility assessments, solution estimations and POC development for moving identified workloads to Cloud

- Review/develop/enhances and implements enterprise data management architectures in GCP that meet all client business needs

- As a key member of the team, ensure success in designing, building and migrating applications, software, and services on the Cloud platform.

- Formulates workable solutions that integrate people, process and technology. Integrates competency leads and other subject matter experts to define the details of vision and solution

- Identifies, creates and communicates the vision of the end-to-end solution for the client and implementation teams after completing thorough evaluations of the present state needs

- Develop a migration approach to move workloads from On-Premises to Cloud or develop new cloud-ready application solutions





- Design and develop conceptual / logical / physical data models for building large scale data lake and data warehouse solutions

- Understanding of data integration processes (batch or real-time) using tools such as Informatica PowerCenter and/or Cloud, Microsoft SSIS, MuleSoft, DataStage, Sqoop, etc.

- Create functional & technical documentation – e.g. data integration architecture documentation, data models, source to target mapping, data dictionaries, data integration specifications, data testing plans, etc.

- Collaborate with business users to analyse and test requirements

- Stays current with emerging and changing technologies to best recommend and implement beneficial technologies and approaches for Data Architecture

- Proven experience in solving mission-critical business and technology problems and provide solutions which centre on the consumption of the Cloud Platform

- Supports Delivery Enablement and Practice Leads by ensuring appropriate linkage between practices is clear and well understood

- Works with practice leads to develop project estimating methodologies for current areas of focus

- Participates in strategy development and current state assessments for clients to identify opportunities. Acts as proxy for practice leads when necessary

- Works with client to sell the proposed solution and develop internal marketing programs.

- Develops comprehensive project, implementation, and resource plans working closely with Engagement and Project Managers

Qualifications

Graduate in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. 6-8 years of experience in data engineering or related field.
