Purpose of the position :
This position is responsible for defining and continuously evolving the end-to-end architecture of Tata Motors' next-generation After Sales Diagnostics Ecosystem. The role will establish scalable, secure, service-oriented, cloud-enabled architectures enabling seamless interaction between vehicles, diagnostic applications, backend systems, analytics platforms, AI engines, and enterprise applications. The incumbent will be responsible for architecture strategy, integration standards, cybersecurity, scalability, and future readiness aligned with Software Defined Vehicles (SDV), Connected Vehicle Diagnostics, DoIP, and SOVD-based service ecosystems
Job Responsibility :
- Define and own the complete after sales diagnostics tool architecture roadmap
- Establish system-wide architecture principles, standards, and integration guidelines
- Define module decomposition, interfaces, and interaction models across diagnostic ecosystem components
- Create architecture blueprints covering vehicle, edge, cloud, analytics, and enterprise integration layers
- Lead architecture reviews with suppliers, IT organizations, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders
- Govern architecture compliance across all diagnostics tool releases
- Drive migration strategy toward Software Defined Vehicle and SOVD-based diagnostics
- Define the licensing model of the after sales diagnostics service tool
- Ensure compatibility of toolchain & licensing with Right-to-Repair, DPDP and global service regulations
- Define data flow architecture between vehicle ECUs, diagnostic applications, cloud services, servers, and analytics engines
- Establish API, middleware, event-driven, and microservices integration strategy
- Define enterprise integration with PLM, CRM, Connected Vehicle platforms & other servers involved
- Ensure high availability, reliability, maintainability,
and scalability of diagnostic infrastructure
- Define database architecture and diagnostic data lifecycle management framework
- Establish cybersecurity controls for diagnostics communication, authentication, authorization, and data protection
Desired Candidate Profile :
- Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 5–10 years of relevant experience.
- Good Knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet
- UDS, DoIP, SOVD
- Diagnostic protocol validation
- Functional diagnostics validation
- Diagnostic test case preparation
- Vehicle diagnostics troubleshooting
- ODX methodology, tools and lifecycle management
- Technical & Functional expertise in Enterprise architecture frameworks
