Position Sr. Manager - Accounts and Operations, Reporting Director, Finance, Legal & Compliance.

Location: Mumbai.

About the role: The Senior Manager will oversee financial accounting, procurement operations, contract management, and asset control to ensure compliance, cost efficiency, and operational effectiveness. This role requires strategic oversight along with solid execution capabilities across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

- Oversee end-to-end accounting operations and financial reporting

- Manage monthly and annual closing processes

- Coordinate Internal and External audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations

- Strengthen Internal controls

- Ensure statutory compliance (TDS, Income Tax, MCA, FCRA etc.)

Procurement Management

- Oversee vendor sourcing, evaluation, and onboarding

- Lead negotiations to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines

- Ensure adherence to procurement policies

- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships

Contract Management

- Ensure contracts comply with legal, financial, and regulatory requirements

- Track key contract milestones, deliverables, and obligations





- Maintain centralized contract repository and documentation

Asset Management

- Oversee acquisition, tagging, tracking, depreciation, and disposal of company assets

- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and ensure periodic verification

- Optimize asset utilization and minimize losses or obsolescence

Qualifications

- Master's Degree in Finance or Accounting

- Mandatory experience working with NGOs and Social sector

Skills

- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills

- Expertise in procurement and vendor management

- Knowledge of contract law and risk management

- Proficiency in Tally and other software/applications

Skills & Competencies

- Leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

- High attention to detail and compliance orientation
