Position Title: Senior Landscape Architect

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and design-driven Senior Landscape Architect to join our growing Landscape Architecture team. The role involves leading the delivery of landscape design and planning packages for large-scale infrastructure, highways, public realm, urban development, and master planning projects across global markets.
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise, design leadership, project management capabilities, and mentoring skills to support multidisciplinary project teams while ensuring design excellence and quality delivery.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Design Leadership
- Lead the development of landscape design solutions from concept through detailed design stages.
- Prepare and review landscape masterplans, public realm designs, streetscapes, park designs, and landscape construction documentation.
- Provide creative and technically sound landscape solutions that align with project objectives, sustainability goals, and client requirements.
- Ensure compliance with project standards, local regulations, and international best practices.
Project Delivery
- Manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously while meeting project schedules and quality expectations.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including highways, urban design, planning, architecture, civil engineering, and environmental specialists.
- Contribute to project planning, resource allocation, and delivery management.
- Participate in design reviews, technical reviews, and quality assurance processes.
Technical Excellence
- Develop detailed landscape drawings, specifications, schedules, and reports.
- Review planting strategies, hardscape layouts, irrigation concepts, streetscape elements, and sustainable landscape solutions.
- Apply industry standards and best practices in landscape architecture, public realm design, and infrastructure landscaping.
- Support the integration of BIM and digital delivery workflows within projects.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Engage effectively with project managers, technical leads, and global project teams.
- Support client presentations, design workshops, and review meetings.
- Communicate design intent clearly through presentations, reports, and visualizations.
Team Development
- Mentor and support Landscape Architects, Assistant Landscape Architects, and BIM resources.
- Review team outputs and provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Contribute to capability development, standardization initiatives, and knowledge-sharing activities within the landscape team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture from a recognized institution.
- 8+ years of qualified experience in landscape architecture.
- Demonstrated experience in infrastructure, highways, public realm, urban development, or large-scale master planning projects.
- Strong portfolio showcasing concept design through detailed design delivery.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering and design environments.

Preferred Experience
- Demonstrated experience delivering landscape architecture and streetscape projects across the Middle East region, particularly in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
- Strong understanding of Middle East landscape design principles, including climate-responsive design, xeriscaping, water-efficient planting strategies, heat mitigation, shading, and pedestrian comfort.
- Proven experience in the design and delivery of streetscape, boulevard, highway corridor, complete street,
and public realm projects from concept through IFC/Tender documentation stages.
- Familiarity with regional municipal and infrastructure authority requirements, standards, and approval processes.
- Knowledge of Middle East landscape and public realm design guidelines, including:
- Abu Dhabi Public Realm Design Manual (PRDM)
- Dubai Municipality landscape and streetscape requirements
- RTA streetscape and urban realm standards
- Saudi Codes, MOMRAH guidelines, and relevant regional authority standards
- AASHTO and international best practices where adopted on Middle East projects
- Experience integrating landscape design within multidisciplinary transportation and infrastructure projects, including coordination with highways, drainage, utilities, traffic, urban design, and civil engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of hardscape detailing, landscape specifications, street furnishings, wayfinding, irrigation systems, and planting strategies suitable for arid environments.
- Experience preparing design reports, technical specifications, BOQs, planting schedules, hardscape schedules, and authority submission packages.
- Working knowledge of BIM-enabled project delivery and coordination within multidisciplinary environments.
- Experience collaborating with international design teams and clients in a GCC delivery model is highly desirable.
Additional Preferred Competencies
- Ability to lead streetscape design packages independently and provide technical oversight to project teams.
- Strong understanding of street hierarchy design, pedestrian realm enhancement, active mobility corridors, cycle tracks, plazas, medians, gateways, and transit-oriented public realm design.
- Experience mentoring junior landscape architects and contributing to quality assurance reviews across multiple projects.
