SENIOR MANAGER – HR
Location: Mahalaxmi, Mumbai
Experience: 5+ Years
Salary Budget: ₹40,000 – ₹50,000 per month

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Manager – HR to lead and manage end-to-end Human Resources operations across the organization. The role will be responsible for ensuring effective HR processes, employee engagement, compliance, manpower planning, HR administration and smooth coordination between employees, management and business teams.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of HR Operations and Generalist functions, preferably within the hospitality/F&B; industry, with the ability to independently manage HR processes and resolve employee-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End HR Operations
Manage the complete employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to separation and full & final settlement.
Maintain employee records, documentation, HR files and statutory records.
Ensure timely issuance of appointment letters, confirmation letters, increment letters, transfer letters, warning letters and other HR documents.
Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters and workplace concerns.
Drive smooth HR operations across multiple locations/outlets.
- Recruitment & Manpower Planning
Manage end-to-end recruitment for corporate, restaurant, hotel and operational positions.
Coordinate with department heads and business teams for manpower requirements.
Screen candidates, conduct interviews and coordinate selection and joining formalities.
Monitor manpower strength, vacancies and attrition.
- Payroll & Attendance Management
Coordinate monthly payroll processing, attendance, leave, overtime and salary inputs.
Ensure accurate employee data and timely payroll closure.
Manage attendance systems/HRMS and resolve attendance-related discrepancies.
Coordinate with Accounts/Finance for payroll-related requirements.
- Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements, including PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, Shops & Establishments and other applicable regulations.
Coordinate with consultants and internal stakeholders for statutory compliance and documentation.
Maintain compliance records and support inspections/audits when required.
- HR Policies & Processes
Develop, implement and update HR policies, SOPs, employee handbooks and HR processes.
Establish standardized HR systems across locations.
Ensure effective implementation of company policies and disciplinary procedures.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee experience.
- Employee Relations & Engagement
Handle employee queries, grievances and disciplinary issues professionally.
Conduct employee engagement initiatives, HR meetings, awareness sessions and internal communication.
Promote a positive and professional workplace culture.
Support managers in handling employee-related matters.
- Performance Management
Coordinate probation, confirmation, appraisal and increment processes.
Support managers in performance discussions and documentation.
Monitor employee performance-related concerns and initiate appropriate HR interventions.
- HRMS & MIS
Manage HRMS processes including employee master data, attendance, leave and HR documentation.
Prepare and maintain HR MIS reports related to manpower, recruitment, attrition, attendance and other HR metrics.
Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of employee information.
- POSH & Workplace Compliance
Support implementation of POSH and workplace conduct policies.
Conduct/coordinate employee awareness and sensitization initiatives.
Maintain appropriate documentation and ensure concerns are handled through the prescribed process.
- HR Administration & Coordination
Coordinate with administration, finance, operations and management for HR-related requirements.
Support employee insurance/benefits and other employee welfare activities.
Coordinate with vendors, consultants and external agencies as required.
Provide HR support for new outlets, hotels, projects and business expansions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Graduate/Postgraduate degree in HR, Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in Hospitality, F&B;, Hotels, Retail or other multi-location environments.
Strong knowledge of Hospitality Recruitment, HR Operations and Generalist HR functions.
Good understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
Experience in payroll, attendance and HRMS management.
Strong recruitment and employee relations experience.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Ability to independently manage HR operations and work closely with senior management.
Strong documentation, coordination and organizational skills.
Valuable working knowledge of MS Excel and HRMS platforms.
