Senior Executive- Investigation Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Executive Investigation Officer to lead and conduct investigations into suspected fraud, policy violations, and misconduct across the organization.

The role involves gathering evidence, interviewing stakeholders, analysing financial and operational data, and preparing investigation reports with actionable recommendations.

Candidates holding or pursuing a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, lead, and conduct end-to-end investigations into allegations of fraud, corruption, embezzlement, and other misconduct.
- Collect, review, and analyse financial records, transaction data, emails, and other documentary evidence.
- Conduct interviews with employees, vendors, and other relevant stakeholders in a skilled and legally compliant manner.
- Prepare clear, well-documented investigation reports with findings, root-cause analysis, and recommendations.
- Coordinate with legal, HR, compliance, and law enforcement authorities as required.
- Identify red flags and control gaps; recommend process improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and objectivity throughout the investigation lifecycle.
- Track case status and ensure timely closure of investigations within defined SLAs.




- Stay updated on fraud trends, investigative techniques, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Support the development and delivery of fraud awareness and prevention training.

Qualifications & Experience

- Any bachelors degree, Law, Criminology, Finance, or a related field (masters degree preferred).
- 8 years of relevant experience in fraud investigation, forensic audit, internal audit, or corporate security.
- Proven track record of managing investigations from initiation to closure.
- Strong understanding of fraud schemes, internal controls, and investigative methodologies.

Certifications

- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) preferred- candidates who are CFE-certified or actively pursuing certification will be given preference.
- Additional certifications such as CIA, CISA, or CA/CPA are an added advantage.

Skills Required

- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent interviewing and interrogation techniques.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, forensic analytics software).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presentations.
- High degree of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple sensitive cases simultaneously.
