Location : 1 Month in Bangalore Mandatory

Budget : 1.75 to 1.80 lakhs per month

Shift : UK Time Zone.

Must work in Bangalore for 1 Month.

- Elaboration of user stories (technical and functional) into coding tasks.
- Hands-on design and development within a self-organizing and cross-functional agile team.
- Proactively help to resolve production issues, contribute to release management, and offer expert advice / suggestions in areas that need attention.
- Mentor and coach junior/mid-level members of the team.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and clients where applicable.
- Demonstrate a broad knowledge of currently used technologies at an expert level.
- Database Management: Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances and databases, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize the performance of the database systems, including query optimization and index management.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop, implement, and manage robust backup and recovery strategies to protect data integrity and availability.
- Security: Implement and manage database security measures, including user access controls, encryption, and auditing.
- Maintenance and Updates: Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and service packs.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot database issues, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, network administrators, and other IT staff to support the integration of new applications and enhancements.





Primary Objectives and Responsibilities

Expertise – a proficiency or knowledge a person has that enables them to be effective in their role.

- Experienced in:
- Proficiency in SQL Server 2014/2016/2017/2019/2022.
- Robust knowledge of T-SQL and database programming.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Familiarity with SQL Server security is best practices.
- Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
- Experienced managing multiple applications with a shared database server.
- Experienced in managing OLTP as well as OLAP databases.
- Experienced with on premises, as well as cloud hosted databases.
- Some experience in running SQL Server on Linux (Not required but would be beneficial) And familiar with:
- MySQL
- AWS RDS

- Actively produces high quality code with very minimal defects and returned pull reject reviews. Does not have a pattern of work returned for rework.
- Identifies areas for improving efficiency, quality, and time to market of the team’s output.
- Initial sprint capacity planned (effort) vs actual completed time (effort) on sprint boards are always met or are within an acceptable gap and does not often run behind. Can accurately plan workload within reason.
- Behavior – the way in which a person acts or conducts themselves and how they influence the behavior of others.
- Understanding and demonstrating the company and engineering values and behaviours all the time (leading by example) and respecting others.
- Consistently contributes in PI planning and sprint planning sessions, helping out team leads where possible.
- Individual sprint items are updated regularly to show sprint progress and reminding is not often needed. Sprint board is updated prior to daily standups

- Participating in phone screening and final interviews
- Creating interview challenges / technical tests
- Coaching and mentoring team members in their professional development.
