Location: Chennai

FSS is looking for a Senior DBA to join our database team. This is a critical role involving design, sizing, support, and maintenance across multiple database technologies. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, driving improvements and ensuring robust database performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer PostgreSQL/EDB Postgres/MySQL databases
- Expertise in AWS databases (RDS, Aurora MySQL/Postgres)
- Strong knowledge of Oracle, MSSQL, Microsoft SQL Server
- Performance tuning, monitoring, upgrades, migrations, patching
- Disaster recovery (RAC, RMAN, Data Guard, Golden Gate replication)
- Automation in monitoring/maintenance
- Database security, backup management,

- Team management and mentoring

What You’ll Bring:

- 4–8 years of experience (preferably in financial institutions)
- Handson expertise with Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, MSSQL
- Robust AWS RDS/Aurora provisioning and tuning skills
- PL/SQL, scripting (bash/ksh/batch), and performance tuning experience
- Solid knowledge of OS (Red Hat Linux, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, Windows)
- Excellent problemsolving, communication, and leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/related field
