Role Description This is a full time, on-site Senior Data Engineer role based in Chennai.

The Senior Data

Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support complex accounting and analytics processes across multiple industries. This role involves developing and optimizing data models, integrating data from various source systems, and implementing robust ETL workflows to ensure data quality and reliability.

and technology teams to design data warehouses, enable reporting, and support advanced data analytics initiatives. The role also includes monitoring data infrastructure performance, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to best practices and standards for data engineering within Metriqe.

Qualifications

- Strong data engineering skills, including experience building and maintaining scalable data pipelines.
- Proficiency in data modeling and data warehousing to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools for integrating and transforming data.
- Applied data analytics skills to derive insights and support decision-making for business and finance stakeholders.
- Experience with SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (such as Python, spark).
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms, database technologies, and version control tools.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai and collaborate effectively with cross-functional and cross-border teams.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in finance, accounting, or BPO environments is an advantage.
