We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with around 5 years of relevant experience to support and lead civil engineering activities across project planning, execution and site coordination. The role will be responsible for ensuring that civil works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements and project schedules.

The candidate will work closely with Project Managers, consultants, contractors, vendors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth execution and timely completion of civil works.

Civil Project Execution

- Plan, supervise and monitor day-to-day civil construction activities at project sites.
- Ensure execution of civil works as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQs and project schedules.
- Monitor activities including foundations, RCC works, structural works, flooring, roads, drainage, paving and other associated civil works.
- Ensure proper sequencing and coordination of civil activities with overall project requirements.
- Identify execution issues and implement timely corrective actions.

2. Drawing & Technical Review

- Review civil and structural drawings, layouts, specifications and technical documents.
- Interpret construction drawings and provide technical guidance to site teams and contractors.
- Coordinate with consultants/design teams for technical clarifications and drawing revisions.
- Ensure that construction is carried out in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.

3. BOQ, Estimation & Quantity Management

- Review and prepare BOQs, quantity estimates and material requirements.
- Verify quantities executed at site against approved BOQs.
- Support estimation, costing and budgeting activities for civil works.




- Monitor material consumption and identify opportunities for cost optimization.

4. Contractor & Vendor Coordination

- Coordinate with civil contractors, subcontractors, vendors and site teams.
- Monitor contractor performance, manpower deployment and work progress.
- Ensure timely availability of materials, resources and manpower.
- Review contractor bills and verify work quantities before submission for approval.

5. Quality Control

- Ensure civil works meet defined quality standards and project specifications.
- Monitor quality of construction materials and workmanship.
- Coordinate required inspections and testing of concrete, soil, reinforcement and other construction materials.
- Identify quality deviations and ensure corrective measures are implemented.

6. Project Planning & Progress Monitoring

- Track project progress against approved schedules and milestones.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports.
- Highlight delays, risks and technical issues to the Project Manager.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve project-related constraints.
- Support project planning and resource allocation.

7. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with company HSE requirements and applicable construction safety standards.
- Coordinate with site teams to maintain safe working conditions.




- Ensure civil activities are carried out in accordance with applicable codes, specifications and statutory requirements.

8. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain site records, inspection reports, measurements and project documentation.
- Prepare site progress reports, quantity statements and work completion reports.
- Maintain records of drawings, revisions, approvals and technical communications.
- Support preparation of as-built documentation upon project completion.

9. Cross-Functional Coordination

- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Procurement and Project teams for smooth project execution.
- Ensure proper civil interfaces are maintained with other engineering disciplines.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide updates on civil engineering activities.

Skills

- - - - Candidate Profile

- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Around 5 years of relevant experience in civil construction, industrial projects, EPC or project execution.
- Strong understanding of civil construction methods, materials and site execution.
- Valuable knowledge of RCC, foundations, structural works, roads, drainage and associated civil works.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
- Experience in BOQ preparation, quantity estimation and contractor billing.
- Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage site activities and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
