The role will focus on reviewing financial records and reports, cash flow management, financial analysis, quality control and team leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring bookkeeping work is accurate, timely and completed to a high standard.

This position is ideal for someone who can take ownership of the bookkeeping function, confidently review the work of others, manage client requirements and provide leadership to the bookkeeping team.

Role & responsibilities

- Lead and manage the bookkeeping team and allocate work effectively.
- Review bookkeeping completed by team members for accuracy and completeness.
- Review Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and other financial reports.
- Monitor and analyse business financial performance.
- Prepare and review cash flow reports and cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor cash flow movements, income, expenses, receivables and payables.
- Identify unusual transactions, discrepancies and areas requiring further investigation.
- Review bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure bookkeeping is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.




- Review payroll-related bookkeeping and ensure transactions

Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably with Australian clients.
- Strong experience working with Xero.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Experience reviewing Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports.
- Solid knowledge of cash flow management and cash flow forecasting.
- Ability to analyse financial information and identify discrepancies or trends.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Previous experience leading, supervising or reviewing the work of other bookkeepers.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

Important This is not a tax preparation role. The position will focus primarily on bookkeeping management, financial reporting, cash flow management, review and team leadership.
