Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Node.js Backend Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building and maintaining server-side applications using Node.js, along with expertise in databases, APIs, and cloud services. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing backend services for our web and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, test, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend applications using Node.js, Express.js, or Nest.js.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL APIs to support frontend applications.
- Work with databases (SQL & NoSQL) such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Write clean, modular, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Optimize application performance and ensure scalability.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, Passport.js).
- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct unit and integration testing using frameworks like Mocha, Jest, or Chai.
- Work with Docker and containerized environments for deployment.
- Utilize CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration and deployment.




- Debug and troubleshoot issues in production and development environments.
- Follow Agile development methodologies and participate in sprint planning.

Requirements

- 6+ years of experience in backend development using Node.js.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
- Experience with backend frameworks such as Express.js, Nest.js, or Koa.
- Familiarity with Microservices architecture and API development.
- Proficiency in working with databases (SQL & NoSQL).
- Experience with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure (optional but preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless frameworks.
- Valuable understanding of security best practices in backend development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with GraphQL and Apollo Server.
- Knowledge of Event-driven architecture using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or WebSockets.
- Experience in DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
