Role Description The Senior Accountant will oversee end-to-end accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, month-end and year-end close, and preparation of financial statements for UK-based clients. This full-time, on-site role in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region involves reviewing and supervising the work of junior accountants, ensuring accuracy, compliance with UK accounting standards, and adherence to client-specific processes.

The person in this role will handle complex reconciliations, review management accounts, support audit and tax teams with required schedules, and resolve accounting queries in coordination with client firms. They will collaborate closely with internal teams and client stakeholders,



use accounting and AI-enabled tools efficiently, and contribute to process improvements and quality control. The role also includes mentoring team members, supporting training initiatives, and helping manage workloads during peak seasons.

Qualifications

- Strong technical accounting skills, including general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
- Experience with UK accounting practices, tax concepts, and compliance frameworks; familiarity with audit support and management accounts preparation.
- Proficiency in accounting and bookkeeping software (e.g., cloud-based accounting systems), spreadsheets, and technology-enabled workflows.
- Ability to review and supervise the work of junior team members, provide constructive feedback, and support training and development.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Clear and professional communication skills, including the ability to interact with UK-based clients and internal stakeholders.
- Proven capability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work effectively during peak workload periods.
- Relevant qualified qualification such as CA, ACCA, or equivalent, or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience in outsourced or shared services environments, especially serving international clients, is an advantage.
