Job Title: School Counsellor

Location: Aga Khan School, Mundra, Gujarat

Key Responsibilities

- Provide individual and group counselling to students for academic, social, emotional, and behavioural concerns.

- Promote students' mental health, well-being, and personal development through preventive and developmental programmes.

- Conduct assessments and identify students requiring additional emotional or behavioural support.

- Work closely with teachers, parents, and school leadership to develop appropriate intervention strategies.

- Organize awareness sessions and workshops on life skills, stress management, career guidance, bullying prevention, child protection, and mental well-being.

- Support the implementation of the school's safeguarding and child protection policies.

- Maintain confidential counselling records and documentation in accordance with school policies and ethical guidelines.

- Refer students to external professionals or specialists when required.

- Participate in parent meetings, staff training,



and school activities to promote a positive and inclusive school setting.

Qualifications & Experience

- Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.

- Diploma or certification in School Counselling is preferred.

- Minimum 25 years of experience as a School Counsellor, preferably in a CBSE school.

- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health, and counselling techniques.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
