We are looking for a skilled Scala to join a high-performing Agile team. The candidate will work closely with business users and development teams to design, develop, test, and support scalable applications and distributed systems.

This is a hands-on technical role where the majority of time will be spent designing, coding, testing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions.

Role & Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Scala.
- Write clean, productive, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices.
- Develop and optimize data processing pipelines using Scala and Apache Spark.
- Build scalable microservices and backend applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and debugging activities.
- Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and third-party systems.




- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Scala Programming.
- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Functional Programming concepts.
- Experience with Apache Spark (Scala Spark).
- Strong knowledge of Collections, Futures, Akka, and Concurrency concepts.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Git, Maven, SBT, Jenkins, and CI/CD practices.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
