Purpose
The SAP Development and UX Lead will perform a vital role in delivery of the Optimus global transformation program. This role will ensure that our SAP enhancements are delivered to the highest quality, and in line with architectural and development standards and best practice. The role will also deliver innovative UX solutions to optimise the adoption of the solution through user-friendly UI and app design.
Key Responsibilities
- Development leadership – oversee a team of external SAP ABAP developers, setting clear expectations on best practices for SAP development, quality assuring their deliverables, and ensuring work is carried out efficiently to maximise productivity of the team.
- Support Product Delivery leads in planning and project management of technical design and build activities.
- Develop and implement a SAP UX strategy for optimization of the Optimus solution, to maximise user adoption and productivity. Ensure consistency in UX design across SAP modules and applications.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and make data-driven improvements.
Collaborate with stakeholders and UX designers to create user-friendly interfaces and experiences within SAP applications.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP Developments and UX design guidelines.
- Provide training and support to other program team members on SAP Development and UX best practices.
- Manage relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure solutions comply with data privacy regulations and company security policies.
- Own Innovation Discovery within your line of business, sharing news and updates on the latest SAP and other party innovations, with a view to where these would drive benefits within the company.
- Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum 7 years experience in SAP ABAP development and related technologies.
- SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori implementation experience.
- Experience developing custom apps and UI developments using Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Demonstrable experience within a similar Development Lead role.
- Proficiency in UX design principles and tools.
- Strong technical leadership and project management skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to technology challenges.
- Possess a solid understanding of AGILE and other development methodologies.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced international business and working with teams in different geographies. Passionate about the company’s vision for its future and about being part of the journey to get there.
- Solid problem solver, capable of analyzing problems, identifying root causes, and finding effective solutions.
