Role: SAP BTP Integration

We are looking for hands-on SAP BTP Integration Engineers to support, maintain, and enhance a large enterprise integration landscape.

The portfolio includes scheduled integrations, APIs, file transfers, database interfaces, SAP integrations, and third-party application integrations implemented primarily using SAP BTP Integration Suite. This role is focused on supporting and improving the existing platform; re-platforming or migrating the interfaces is not currently in scope.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop a detailed understanding of existing integration packages, interfaces, dependencies, schedules, and support procedures.
- Monitor and support production interfaces developed using SAP BTP Integration Suite and SAP Cloud Integration.
- Troubleshoot failed integrations by analyzing message-processing logs, payloads, mappings, connectivity issues, authentication errors, and source or target system responses.
- Safely restart, retry, or reprocess failed messages and perform data reconciliation to confirm successful delivery.
- Perform root-cause analysis for recurring failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Develop enhancements to existing integration flows, including routing, transformations, validations, exception handling, retries, notifications, and logging.
- Build and modify integration flows using graphical mappings, message mappings, XSLT, XML, JSON, and Groovy scripts.
- Support integrations using REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, RFC/BAPI, SFTP, HTTPS, JDBC,



and other applicable adapters.
- Manage security artifacts such as certificates, credentials, OAuth configurations, SSH keys, and encryption keys.
- Support SAP Cloud Connector, BTP destinations, connectivity configurations, and communication between cloud and on-premises systems.
- Coordinate interface testing and issue resolution with SAP, application, database, infrastructure, security, business, and external vendor teams.
- Deploy changes across development, test, and production environments using established transport and release-management processes.
- Maintain interface design documents, support runbooks, mapping specifications, dependency details, known-error documentation, and operational procedures.
- Participate in the agreed production-support rotation and support planned releases or critical production incidents when required.

Required Skills

- 4–6 years of experience developing and supporting enterprise integrations.

* Robust hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite , particularly SAP Cloud Integration/CPI .

- Experience developing, modifying, deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting SAP integration flows.
- Good understanding of integration patterns such as synchronous request-response, asynchronous messaging,



scheduled processing, file-based integration, and chained integration flows.
- Hands-on experience with commonly used adapters such as HTTP/HTTPS, SOAP, OData, IDoc, RFC, SFTP, and JDBC.
- Experience with XML, JSON, CSV, XSLT, XPath, message mappings, value mappings, and Groovy scripting.
- Knowledge of API authentication and integration security, including Basic Authentication, OAuth 2.0, certificates, SSH keys, and secure credential management.
- Experience diagnosing issues using SAP BTP monitoring, message-processing logs, trace functionality, correlation identifiers, and application logs.
- Understanding of error handling, retry mechanisms, exception subprocesses, idempotency, duplicate prevention, and message reprocessing.
- Ability to work with ticketing, incident-management, change-management, and production-release processes.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience integrating SAP ECC or S/4HANA with non-SAP and third-party systems.
- Familiarity with SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, or other SAP cloud applications.
- Experience with SAP API Management, Event Mesh, Integration Advisor, or Trading Partner Management.
- Knowledge of SAP Cloud Connector, BTP destinations, user roles, and platform security.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, SAP Cloud ALM, Splunk, or comparable monitoring and ticketing tools.
- Basic SQL knowledge for validating and reconciling integration data.
- Experience supporting a large portfolio of business-critical integrations.
