nRole Overview

nWe are looking for an experienced Senior SAP BTP Application Lead / Custom Software Engineer with strong expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in one or more key BTP areas including BTP Application Development, BTP Datasphere, Integration Suite, SAP HANA Cloud, SAPUI5/Fiori, Node.js, and cloud-based application development.

nThe role involves designing, developing, integrating, deploying, and optimizing enterprise-grade applications on SAP BTP. The candidate will also work closely with architects, functional teams, business stakeholders, and development teams while providing technical guidance and mentoring.

nKey Responsibilities

- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable enterprise applications on SAP BTP.
n
- Develop cloud-native applications using modern full-stack development practices.
n
- Develop backend services, APIs, and service-oriented applications using Node.js and related frameworks.
n
- Build responsive user interfaces using SAPUI5/Fiori and integrate them with backend services.
n
- Design and develop data models, database artifacts, and data solutions using SAP HANA/HANA Cloud and SAP BTP Datasphere.
n
- Develop and manage enterprise integrations using SAP BTP Integration Suite and cloud integration technologies.
n
- Configure and manage BTP subaccounts, services, service instances, destinations, and other platform components.
n




- Work on data modelling, ETL/ELT, data integration, and performance optimization where required.
n
- Design and implement APIs and integrations using REST and other relevant integration patterns.
n
- Contribute to application architecture, technical design, and solution decisions.
n
- Troubleshoot application, integration, database, and production issues and implement appropriate resolutions.
n
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding, security, governance, and development standards.
n
- Use Git and CI/CD/DevOps practices for source control, collaboration, and application deployment.
n
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, technical discussions, and retrospectives.
n
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, functional consultants, and cross-functional development teams.
n
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to team members.
n
- Lead technical discussions and contribute to decisions across multiple teams.
n
- Monitor project progress and support timely delivery with required quality standards.
n
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in application development and delivery processes.
n
- Where applicable, implement AI/LLM-enabled capabilities and AI application patterns within SAP BTP solutions.

nExperience & Education

- Experience: 3+ years of overall IT experience preferred, with strong hands-on experience in SAP BTP and relevant BTP technologies.

- Candidates with strong specialized experience in BTP Application Development, Datasphere, or Integration Suite may also be considered.
n
- Education: Any Graduate / 15 years of full-time education preferred.
n
- Experience in enterprise-scale SAP/cloud implementation projects is preferred.
