About the role

We are looking for an SAP ABAP Consultant to develop and support SAP integrations for e-invoicing projects. You will work with functional consultants, integration teams and business stakeholders to connect SAP invoice processes with e-invoicing platforms and deliver reliable, maintainable solutions.

Key responsibilities

- Design, develop and enhance ABAP and object-oriented ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements and forms.
- Integrate SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA with e-invoicing platforms using REST/SOAP APIs, OData, IDocs, RFCs and BAPIs as appropriate.
- Map billing and accounting data to required invoice payloads; handle JSON/XML transformations, response processing and invoice status updates.
- Build validations, application logs, exception handling, retry/reprocessing and reconciliation controls for invoice interfaces.
- Work with SAP SD/FI teams on invoice flows, credit/debit notes, cancellations and related business scenarios.
- Debug issues, tune performance and investigate integration failures across SAP and connected systems.
- Prepare technical specifications, execute unit and integration testing, support UAT, deployment and post-go-live support.
- Follow secure coding, transport management,



documentation and code-review practices.

Required skills and experience
- 5–9 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience, including strong OO ABAP, ABAP Dictionary, Open SQL and debugging skills.
- Practical experience delivering SAP e-invoicing or electronic document integrations.
- Robust interface development skills using APIs/web services and SAP integration mechanisms such as IDocs, RFCs or BAPIs.
- Experience working with JSON/XML payloads, authentication, error handling and interface monitoring.
- Working understanding of SAP SD billing and FI accounting data relevant to invoicing.
- Experience with enhancements, BAdIs/user exits, performance analysis and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate independently in a remote team.

Preferred skills
- SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC), eDocument framework or related localization experience.
- SAP Integration Suite/CPI, PI/PO or other middleware integration experience.
- S/4HANA, CDS views, ABAP on HANA and Adobe Forms/Smart Forms.
- Exposure to country-specific e-invoicing implementations, including UAE/GCC projects.

Education Relevant hands-on experience is the primary requirement; a specific degree is not mandatory.
