Job Title: Automation Sales Engineer

Department: Sales & Marketing – Industrial Automation

Location: Delhi – NCR

Reports To: Regional Sales Manager / Business Development Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Automation Sales Engineer to promote and sell automation solutions including PLCs, SCADA systems, HMI, VFDs, sensors, and other control products. The ideal candidate will combine a strong understanding of industrial automation technologies with consultative sales skills to develop new business and support existing customers.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in industrial automation.

Promote a range of automation products and solutions including PLC, SCADA, HMI, VFDs, sensors, and industrial communication systems.

Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate automation solutions.

Conduct technical presentations, product demos, and solution briefings for clients.

Prepare and submit technical-commercial proposals and quotations.





Collaborate with internal application engineering and project teams for solution design and execution.

Maintain relationships with OEMs, EPCs, system integrators, and end users.

Monitor competitor activities and market trends to refine sales strategies.

Meet assigned sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.

Provide pre-sales and limited post-sales technical support as required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechatronics Engineering.

3+ years of experience in sales or application of industrial automation products.

Sound knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial communication protocols.

Experience with brands like Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi, etc. is preferred.

Robust presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Self-motivated with a strong customer focus.

Willingness to travel as needed.
