Job Summary

Blue Jersey Garments is looking for an experienced Safety Officer to ensure a safe and compliant working environment across our garment manufacturing facility.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor Health & Safety policies and procedures in the factory.
- Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions and practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Factories Act, safety regulations and statutory requirements.
- Conduct fire safety inspections, emergency drills and evacuation procedures.
- Monitor and ensure proper use of PPE by all employees.
- Conduct safety training and awareness programs for workers and staff.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and prepare corrective/preventive action reports.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification for production and other work areas.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training records and statutory documentation.
- Monitor safety arrangements for machines,



electrical systems, chemicals, boilers/compressors and other equipment.
- Ensure proper emergency preparedness, including fire extinguishers, emergency exits and first-aid facilities.
- Support customer, statutory and third-party safety audits.
- Promote a strong safety culture among employees.
- Coordinate with management and department heads for continuous improvement in workplace safety.

Candidate Profile
- M.E./M.Tech in Industrial Engineering or relevant Engineering qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Safety Officer / Industrial Safety role.
- Experience in the garment manufacturing industry will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of factory safety practices, risk assessment and emergency preparedness.
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct worker safety training and awareness programs.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
