Role & responsibilities :

- As a Trainee ROV Pilot Technician you will assist the ROV Technical Manager and

ROV Workshop Technician in the smooth repair and maintenance of the Remotely Operated Vehicle System and accessories.
- Learning Fault Finding for ROV, TMS, LARS , Control & Navigation system and all

associated equipment and tooling.
- You will ensure that all work is undertaken to the highest quality and

professionalism in accordance with the Company procedures and project specific documentation.
- Ensure that all activities are carried out with the highest regard to the health and

safety of all involved and to the protection of the setting and prevention of pollution.
- Learn electrical and mechanical umbilical terminations
- To be safety aware, e.g. awareness of legislation/guidance to include reporting

accidents managing safety of team when required to supervise a shift.
- To learn use of sonar, changes in range/scales, use of acoustic positioning systems

used by ROVs
- Raise requisition for spares/consumables for workshop and ROV system
- Learn ROV Pilot on ROV Simulator. Minimum 30 hours ROV Piloting on Simulator.
- Learn launch and recovery operations and basic preventive maintenance of LARS





system.
- Learn Co-Pilot responsibility from Technical Manager and from Supervisor and Sr.

Pilot Technician.
- Maintain a high standard of communication of operational and safety information to

team members.

Preferred candidate profile

- Personnel with at least one main Bachelor of Electrical/Electronics/Electro

mechanics/Electrical Control /Mechatronics” Engineering and experience in other fields.
- Basic Knowledge of ROV
- Technical knowledge to read ROV manuals and understand about ROV Electronics,

Mechanical and Hydraulics components. Ensure all ROV Operations, maintenance and Safety related tasks in accordance with company procedures.
- Licenses/certifications- ROV Course / BOSIET / UKOOA Medical / ROV Log Book
- Personnel that are safety aware and work to the highest of safety standards in line with

the company safety management system.
- Works well as part of the team during an emergency, can communicate effectively with

all other team members.
- Capable of pro-active involvement with projected work scopes to meet client

requirements.
