Key Responsibilities:
Robotics Systems Software Development
- Design and implement modular robotics software using ROS 2, modern C++, and Python
- Develop reusable frameworks for perception, localization, navigation, and control
- Build scalable software architectures for AMRs and autonomous platforms AI-Accelerated Perception Robotics Algorithms
- Develop and integrate GPU-accelerated perception pipelines using: o Computer vision (OpenCV, image processing, sensor fusion)
o Deep learning-based perception (object detection, segmentation, tracking)
- Optimize robotics workloads to efficiently utilize GPUs and heterogeneous compute
- Work with AI inference pipelines integrated into robotics systems Algorithm Development
- Implement robotics software sdk using tools like nav2, moveIt, ros perception, ros2_control etc. and optimize algorithms for: o SLAM and localization o Global and local path planning o Obstacle detection and avoidance o Motion planning and control (Nav2, custom planners)
Simulation, Learning Validation
- Build and maintain simulation environments using Gazebo/Ignition
- Develop simulation-based validation workflows for autonomy stacks
- (Good to have) Apply reinforcement learning or learning-based approaches for navigation, control, or policy optimization
- (Good to have) Experience with emerging simulation or robotics research tools (e.g., Genesis, physics-based or learning-driven simulators) Hardware Platform Integration
- Integrate robotics software with sensors including LiDAR, RGB/RGB-D cameras, stereo cameras, IMUs
- Work closely with platform teams to enable deployment on embedded and accelerated hardware
- Support optimization and deployment on AMD GPU platforms, leveraging ROCm and AMDGPU software stacks where applicable Performance Optimization
- Profile, debug, and optimize software for: o Real-time performance o Low latency and deterministic behavior o Effective GPU and memory utilization
- Identify performance bottlenecks across CPU/GPU boundaries Development Infrastructure Quality
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and validation
- Containerize applications using Docker
- Improve code quality, test coverage, and development efficiency Collaboration
- Collaborate with QA, hardware, systems, and product teams
- Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical documentation Required Qualifications
- 6 - 8 years of experience in robotics software development
- Strong expertise in ROS 2 and C++
- Solid understanding of robotics fundamentals: SLAM, navigation, motion planning, control
- Hands-on experience with robotics simulation tools (Gazebo/Ignition, Isaac Sim)
- Experience with computer vision and sensor processing (OpenCV)
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and tooling
- Experience with CI/CD systems and containerized development (Docker) Preferred / Good-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with GPU-accelerated robotics or AI workloads
- Familiarity with ROCm, AMDGPU, or heterogeneous computing platforms
- Knowledge of reinforcement learning applied to robotics or control
- Exposure to multi-robot systems and fleet orchestration
- Experience with real-time systems and performance tuning
- Familiarity with warehouse or industrial automation
- Exposure to NVIDIA robotics stack ( Jetpack + Isaac Ros ) Success Metrics
