Role Overview:

Acts as the quality and consistency checkpoint across financial analysis output — ensuring underwriting, market research, and client deliverables are accurate, defensible, and consistent across accounts before they go out.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Market Research & Underwriting Oversight

- Reviews market research inputs (comps, cap rates, rent/occupancy trends, supply pipeline) for relevance and accuracy before they feed into models.
- Reviews underwriting for asset development and acquisition deals — validates assumptions (cost basis, exit cap, growth rates, financing terms) against market data and deal context.
- Flags structural or logic errors in models, not just formatting issues.




- Ensures underwriting narratives align with the numbers presented.

2. Multi-Account Management

- Owns review responsibility across multiple client accounts simultaneously, prioritizing based on deadlines and deal complexity.
- Maintains working knowledge of each account's specific conventions, client preferences, and past deliverables to review with context, not in isolation.
- Escalates account-specific risks or recurring issues to the relevant analyst/lead promptly.

3. Monitoring & QC of Work Product

- Acts as the final check before any deliverable is considered client-ready.
- Verifies internal consistency (numbers tie across pages/tabs, narrative matches exhibits, formatting is clean and client-safe with no internal/model references left in).
- Distinguishes between minor formatting fixes and substantive analytical errors, and handles each appropriately.
- Provides clear, actionable feedback to analysts rather than just correcting silently.

4. Structured Review System

- Maintains a standardized review checklist/process applied consistently across accounts (not ad hoc).
- Tracks review status per account/deliverable (reviewed, pending, returned for revision).
- Documents recurring error patterns to feed back into process improvement or training.
- Ensures review turnaround doesn't become a bottleneck — balances thoroughness with speed

Key Skills & Traits:

- Strong grounding in CRE underwriting mechanics and market research methodology.
- Judgment to distinguish material errors from stylistic preferences.
- Comfortable pushing back on analysts' work diplomatically but firmly.
- Organized enough to track review status across many accounts without things slipping.
- Reliable — the person whose sign-off others can trust without re-checking.
- Experience required 3 to 5 years as a Financial Analyst.
- Real estate experience preferred.
- Educational: Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
