The Role

As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will be the face of Kyoto Concepts in our store. Your role goes beyond simply selling products — it is about understanding our customers, helping them discover pieces they connect with, and creating a beautiful and memorable in-store experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome and engage customers with warmth and genuine enthusiasm.
- Understand customer preferences and recommend products based on their needs, style and budget.
- Develop strong product knowledge and confidently communicate the story, craftsmanship and inspiration behind Kyoto’s collections.
- Drive sales and achieve daily/monthly store targets.
- Assist customers with product selection, gifting and styling suggestions.
- Maintain excellent visual merchandising and ensure the store consistently reflects Kyoto’s premium aesthetic.
- Keep products, displays and the overall store setting organised and immaculate.
- Handle billing, POS transactions, packaging and basic inventory-related activities.
- Assist with stock receiving, counting, tagging and replenishment.
- Maintain accurate records of sales and inventory as required.
- Build relationships with regular customers and encourage repeat visits.
- Support promotional activities, events and in-store experiences.
- Handle customer queries and feedback professionally and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Coordinate with the central team on inventory, sales,



customer feedback and operational requirements.

What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in retail, luxury retail, lifestyle, fashion, home décor, hospitality or a similar customer-facing role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A naturally warm, friendly and confident personality.
- Strong interest in home décor, design, art, fashion, lifestyle or aesthetics.
- Good sense of presentation and attention to detail.
- Comfortable initiating conversations with customers and understanding their requirements.
- Sales-oriented, proactive and target-driven without being pushy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team.
- Basic computer/POS skills.
- Fluency in English; Kannada and Hindi would be an advantage.

Working Hours

Store: Kyoto Concepts, 1 MG Mall, Bengaluru

Store Timings: 10:00 AM – 9:30 PM

Working Days: All days of the week, with weekly rotational offs

Shifts: Rotational shifts
