Position: Automation Test Engineer

Experience: 5 to 9 Years

Location: Bangalore / Chennai

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Automation Test Engineer with strong experience in Java, Selenium, and REST Assured API Testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks, ensuring product quality through robust testing strategies, and collaborating closely with development and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
- Create and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web applications.
- Develop and execute API test automation using REST Assured.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams for resolution.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
- Prepare test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure adherence to QA best practices and testing standards.

Required Skills
- 5 to 9 years of experience in Software Testing/QA Automation.




- Strong programming skills in Java.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Test Automation Frameworks.
- Extensive experience in REST Assured for API automation testing.
- Valuable understanding of API testing concepts, JSON, XML, and REST services.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as TestNG/JUnit.
- Knowledge of Maven/Gradle build tools.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Exposure to BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Exposure to performance testing tools is an added advantage.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
