Role Description This is a remote internship role for a Research Intern at Pathmetric Research.

The Research

Intern will assist with designing and administering surveys, supporting data collection activities, and cleaning and organizing datasets. Typical tasks include conducting literature reviews, contributing to GIS mapping and basic spatial analysis, and preparing summary tables, charts, and brief reports.



The intern will collaborate with project leads to document methodologies, ensure data quality, and help translate findings into practical insights for mobility and urban planning projects.

Qualifications

- Foundational research skills, including literature review, data collection, and basic statistical analysis.
- Interest or coursework in urban planning, transportation, geography, public policy, or a related field.
- Ability to work with data tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets; familiarity with R, Python, or SPSS is a plus).
- Exposure to GIS software (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS) or strong willingness to learn spatial analysis tools.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to create concise summaries and visualizations.
- Solid attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage tasks independently in a remote setting.
- Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback in a multidisciplinary, data-driven environment.
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a relevant degree program is preferred but not required.
