ABOUT THE ROLEThe Research Associate will support the International Trade vertical at ICPP, working under the leadership of Mr.

Vijay Singh

Chauhan and contributing to policy-oriented research on international trade and economic policy. The role will support data collection and analysis, literature reviews, research documentation, policy-focused outputs, and stakeholder events. In the first six months, success will mean reliable research support, well-organised data and materials, and meaningful contributions to ongoing research projects.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Collect, clean, organise, and document data from primary and secondary sources for ongoing research projects.
- Conduct literature reviews and synthesise relevant academic and policy research to support project development.
- Support quantitative analysis under supervision, using appropriate statistical tools and maintaining accuracy in research outputs.
- Prepare background materials, research summaries, and draft sections of working papers, policy briefs, and case studies.
- Format and edit research outputs for academic and policy audiences, ensuring clarity, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Track policy developments, legislative updates, and current debates relevant to the International Trade research agenda.
- Support stakeholder roundtables, workshops, research events, and other activities that advance ICPP's research and policy engagement.

Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Economics, Trade, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics,



or a closely related field is preferred; applicants from other academic backgrounds with a strong interest in Trade research are also encouraged to apply.
- Basic familiarity with statistical tools such as Excel, STATA, or R, with willingness to develop these skills rapidly.
- Strong analytical and writing skills, demonstrated through relevant coursework or academic projects.
- Demonstrated interest in International Trade and public policy, with the ability to work carefully with research data and materials.
