ABOUT THE ROLEThe Research Associate will support policy-oriented research in Macroeconomics and Public Finance at ICPP, working closely with Prof.

Prachi

Mishra and the wider research team. The role will contribute to data collection and analysis, literature reviews, research documentation, and policy-focused outputs, while supporting events and stakeholder engagement. In the first six months, success will mean reliable research support, well-organised data and materials, and meaningful contributions to ongoing projects.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Collect, clean, organise, and document data from primary and secondary sources for ongoing research projects.
- Conduct literature reviews and synthesise relevant academic and policy research to support project development.
- Support quantitative analysis under supervision, using appropriate statistical tools and maintaining accuracy in research outputs.
- Prepare background materials, research summaries, and draft sections of working papers, policy briefs, and case studies.
- Format and edit research outputs for academic and policy audiences, ensuring clarity, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Track policy developments, legislative updates, and current debates relevant to the Macroeconomics and Public Finance research agenda.
- Support stakeholder roundtables, workshops, research events, and other activities that advance ICPP's research and policy engagement.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications





- Final-year undergraduate or recent graduate in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field; no prior work experience is required.
- Basic familiarity with statistical tools such as Excel, STATA, or R; familiarity with Generative AI tools such as Claude or Claude Code is preferred.
- Robust analytical and writing skills, demonstrated through relevant coursework, research, or academic projects.
- Demonstrated interest in Macroeconomics, Public Finance, and public policy, with a willingness to develop research skills in a rigorous environment.
