We are looking for engineers with Aero Engine MRO, Component Repair, Repair Development, Repair Industrialization, Repair Scheme Writing, or Engine Overhaul experience to support component repair production areas. The role focuses on repair method development, production readiness, FAIR/MSA, process capability, and technical issue resolution to meet Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery expectations.
BE / B. Tech / M. Tech in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Industrial, or equivalent; Diploma with significant relevant experience may also be considered.
3-12 years in Aero Engine MRO, Component Repair, Repair Development, Repair Industrialization, Engine Overhaul, Repair Scheme Writing, FAIR, MSA, quality documentation, or process documentation.
Exposure to large civil aero engine component repair, high bypass gas turbine engines, or equivalent OEM/MRO engine program preferred.
Good understanding of repair processes, materials, drawings, GD&T;, manufacturing documentation, inspection planning, product safety, and quality requirements.
Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with manufacturing, quality, inspection, supplier, and customer-facing teams.
Review repair schemes, technical reports, engine manuals, CML requirements, overhaul instructions, repair limits, and special process requirements.
Support repair feasibility, production readiness, tooling, inspection planning, repair trials, validation, and source-controlled repair activities.
Prepare and maintain routers, process instructions, SOPs, data cards, inspection plans, FAIR packages, validation reports, and technical records.
Support FAIR, MSA, Net-Inspect submissions, repair trials, prove-outs, observation closure, and source/method change documentation.
Identify tooling, fixture, inspection equipment, MSA, SPC, control plan, and process capability requirements.
Develop, refine, and implement repair methods for large civil aero engine components.
Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, inspection, suppliers, and customer stakeholders to resolve technical issues, track open actions, and support right-first-time repair execution.
Act as technical point of contact for assigned repair areas and support technical decisions within defined process, quality, and delivery accountability.
Aero Engine MRO, Component Repair Development, Repair Industrialization, Repair Scheme Interpretation, Repair Method Development, Engine Overhaul, and high bypass gas turbine engine exposure.
FAIR as per AS9102, MSA, Net-Inspect, engineering drawings, GD&T;, routers, SOPs, process instructions, data cards, inspection plans, and validation reports.
Tooling, fixtures, inspection planning, SPC, PFMEA, control plans, process capability, root cause analysis, and technical problem solving.
Repair processes such as welding, machining, coating, painting, NDT, brazing, thermal spray, heat treatment, or shot peening preferred.
SAP, PLM, engineering/quality systems, explicit communication, stakeholder coordination, and action tracking preferred.
Preferred / Added Advantage
- Exposure to Trent 700, Trent 800, Trent 900, Trent 1000, Trent XWB, Trent 7000, or equivalent large civil engine programs.
- Experience with NGV, stator vanes, turbine components, compressor components, casings,
structural modules, source-controlled repairs, or similar engine components.
- Knowledge of SABRe requirements, special processes, EASA Part 145, FAA, AS9100, AS9110,
AS13000, Minitab, SPC, Six Sigma, or process capability studies.
