Role Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Executive to ensure product quality across the distribution center. The role involves inspecting fruits at arrival, monitoring storage quality, ensuring correct grading and dispatch quality, and coordinating with procurement and operations teams to maintain high standards.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about quality, eager to learn about fresh produce supply chains, and ready to take ownership in a fast-paced operations environment.

What Youll Do:

Key Responsibilities

1. Incoming Quality Inspection

- Inspect incoming fruit consignments for quality, size, colour, ripeness, and defects.
- Verify product quality against purchase specifications and quality standards.
- Reject or segregate damaged, overripe, or substandard fruits.
- Prepare inward quality inspection reports.

2. Warehouse Quality Monitoring

- Monitor storage conditions such as temperature, humidity, and hygiene.
- Conduct regular stock quality checks to identify spoilage or deterioration.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices are followed.

3 Pre-dispatch Quality Check

- Conduct quality checks before dispatch to ensure fruits meet customer specifications and grading standards.
- Verify packaging, labelling, and batch details.
- Ensure correct variety, quantity, and quality are dispatched.

4. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain quality inspection reports, rejection reports, and QC logs.




- Share daily QC reports with operations and procurement teams.
- Maintain records of quality deviations and corrective actions.

5. Quality Compliance and coordination

- Manage inventory batches using the company’s in-house software.
- Maintain warehouse hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Work closely with warehouse, procurement, and logistics teams to resolve quality issues.

6. Training & Quality Standards:

- Train labour teams on identifying premium quality fruits and acceptable defects.
- Provide feedback to sourcing teams regarding supplier quality performance.
- Set and update quality parameters based on seasonality and product characteristics.

What We Need:

- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture/ Horticulture / Food Technology, or related field preferred.
- 1–4 years of experience in fruit and vegetables quality control, warehouse operations, or fresh produce industry.
- Basic understanding of fruits, ripening processes, and quality parameters is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a fast-paced DC environment.
