Role & responsibilities

A. Incoming Inspection

1. Inspect incoming raw materials, sheets, pipes, sections, bought-out items and components.
2. Verify material dimensions, grade/specification and quantity against purchase documents.
3. Check MTC/material certificates wherever applicable.
4. Inspect material for visual defects, damage, rust, deformation, etc.
5. Maintain incoming inspection records.

B. In-Process Inspection

1. Carry out inspection at various stages of fabrication, cutting, bending, drilling, fit-up and welding.
2. Verify dimensions as per approved drawings.
3. Check welding parameters and visual weld quality.
4. Verify weld size, weld location, alignment, fit-up, distortion and weld defects.
5. Monitor fabrication activities and identify non-conforming work.
6. Coordinate with Production for correction/rework of defects.
7. Maintain in-process inspection reports/check sheets.

C. Final Inspection

1. Conduct final dimensional and visual inspection of fabricated products.
2. Verify length, width, height,



hole position, squareness, flatness, alignment and other drawing requirements.
3. Check welding quality and surface condition.

Verify powder coating/painting condition where applicable.
1. Ensure all required inspection points are completed before product release.
2. Prepare and maintain Final Inspection Reports.

Identify and control non-conforming products. Preferred candidate profile -

- Fresher or 23 years of experience in fabrication quality inspection.
- Experience in sheet metal/fabricated structures will be preferred.
- Should be capable of independently performing Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection.
- Should be able to understand engineering drawings and inspection requirements.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills with Production and Quality teams.
- Willing to work on the shop floor and perform hands-on inspection.
