Position Overview:

The organization is looking for a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to manage incoming material inspection and ensure that all components meet defined quality, dimensional, and specification standards before entering production. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product reliability by verifying materials against purchase orders, drawings, and technical specifications, while ensuring accurate documentation and traceability across the inspection process.

Qualifications:

- B.E./B.Tech – Electrical Engineering preferred
- Diploma – Electrical Engineering may also be considered
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a Quality function

Key Responsibilities:

- Inspect incoming materials and components against Purchase Orders, drawings, specifications, and standards
- Verify quantity, dimensions, and quality using precision measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, gauges)
- Maintain Incoming Inspection Reports,



rejection reports, and traceability records for all inspected materials
- Identify, tag, and segregate Accepted, Rejected, and Hold materials as per quality protocols
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, and Suppliers for return, replacement, rework, or corrective action
- Release cleared materials to Stores in a timely manner
- Support the QA team and suppliers in resolving quality issues
- Follow quality procedures, work instructions, and safety norms
- Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards at the inspection area

Skills Required:

- Knowledge of Incoming Quality Inspection processes and procedures
- Basic knowledge of electrical/engineering components
- Understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Basic knowledge of quality documentation, including inspection and rejection reports
- Proficiency in MS Excel / MS Office
- Strong communication and coordination skills with Purchase, Stores, and Suppliers
- High attention to detail and structured problem-solving ability

Special Requirements:

- Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and Purchase Orders
- Robust documentation skills for maintaining Inspection Reports and ensuring material traceability
