Role Description The Quality Engineering Intern will support day-to-day quality assurance and quality control activities within the manufacturing setting. This full-time, on-site role is based in Thane and involves assisting in inspecting machined components, documenting quality metrics, and helping identify root causes of defects.
The intern will collaborate with engineers and production staff to implement and monitor quality standards, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives,
and support internal audits and process reviews.
Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records, preparing basic quality reports, and communicating findings clearly to the quality and operations teams.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Quality Engineering concepts and basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control skills, including attention to detail in inspections and documentation.
- Analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support root cause analysis.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and reporting quality findings.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with measurement tools, engineering drawings, and basic statistical quality methods is an advantage.
- Ability to learn quickly, follow established procedures, and adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data entry and reporting.
