Position: Quality Engineer – QMS

We are looking for a Quality Engineer – QMS to support and maintain the Quality Management System across our foundry and machine shop operations at our Mysuru facility.

The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of IATF 16949, quality documentation, internal audits, customer requirements, and manufacturing processes, along with the ability to coordinate effectively with Production, Foundry, Machining, and other functions.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and continuously improve the QMS across foundry and CNC machining operations in accordance with IATF 16949 requirements.
- Prepare, maintain, and control QMS documentation, procedures, work instructions, formats, and quality records.
- Coordinate and support internal, customer, and certification audits, including preparation, execution, and timely closure of audit findings.
- Monitor compliance with Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) and applicable quality standards.
- Coordinate preparation and maintenance of APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and related quality documentation.
- Monitor quality KPIs including internal rejection, rework, customer complaints, PPM, and process performance.
- Support Root Cause Analysis, 8D, CAPA, and corrective/preventive action activities.




- Coordinate with Foundry and Machine Shop teams to identify process-related quality issues and ensure effective corrective actions.
- Monitor and maintain calibration and verification records for measuring and testing equipment.
- Ensure proper control and traceability of inspection reports, non-conforming material, quality records, and other QMS documents.
- Support customer complaint analysis and coordinate corrective actions with relevant departments.
- Conduct and support process, product, and system audits.
- Assist in training employees on quality systems, procedures, customer requirements, and quality awareness.
- Drive 5S, Kaizen, continuous improvement, and defect/rejection reduction initiatives.
- Prepare periodic quality reports and MIS for management review.

Candidate Profile

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Metallurgical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in Quality/QMS, preferably in an automotive manufacturing setting involving foundry and/or CNC machining.
- Good working knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive quality management systems.
- Practical knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, 8D, CAPA, and internal auditing.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T;.
- Knowledge of foundry and/or CNC machining processes will be an added advantage.
- Experience with measuring instruments, calibration systems, and inspection documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong documentation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with multiple departments.
