About Anveshan Farms
Anveshan Farms is an FMCG company focused on bringing high-quality, traditionally sourced food products to consumers. We are looking for a Quality Control Executive who can take ownership of quality checks across our raw materials, manufacturing processes, finished products, packaging and storage operations.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in food/FMCG quality control, preferably in edible oil, ghee, dairy or related food categories.
1. Raw Material Quality
- Conduct quality inspection and sampling of incoming raw materials, particularly edible oils, dairy/fat-based raw materials and other food ingredients.
- Check raw materials against approved specifications and quality parameters.
- Review and verify supplier COAs, test reports and quality documents.
- Identify non-conforming raw materials and coordinate with Procurement and Operations for appropriate action.
- Support vendor quality evaluations and quality improvement initiatives.
2. In-Process Quality Control
- Monitor quality parameters throughout the production process for oil and ghee.
- Conduct regular sampling and testing as per defined SOPs and specifications.
- Ensure production processes are followed as per approved quality and food safety standards.
- Monitor parameters such as moisture, FFA/acidity, colour, odour, consistency and other product-specific parameters.
- Immediately highlight deviations and coordinate with Production for corrective action.
3. Finished Product Quality
- Conduct batch-wise quality inspection and testing of finished edible oil and ghee products.
- Verify that finished products meet Anveshan's defined quality specifications before release.
- Ensure proper sampling, testing and documentation for every batch.
- Coordinate with external/NABL laboratories for specialized testing wherever required.
- Support investigation and resolution of product quality complaints.
4. Packaging & Product Compliance
- Inspect packaging materials for quality, specifications and defects.
- Check packaging integrity, leakage, sealing, filling quantity and overall packaging quality.
- Verify product labels for required information including batch number, manufacturing/packing date, best-before/expiry, MRP and other applicable declarations.
- Ensure packaging and labelling comply with applicable food regulations and internal specifications.
5. Plant & Hygiene Audits
- Conduct regular quality and hygiene inspections at manufacturing facilities.
- Monitor GMP, GHP, personal hygiene, sanitation and housekeeping practices.
- Identify gaps and ensure timely closure of quality and hygiene observations.
- Support internal, supplier, customer and regulatory audits.
- Maintain audit observations and track corrective actions.
6. Warehouse & Storage Quality
- Conduct periodic quality inspections of raw materials and finished goods at warehouses.
- Ensure appropriate storage conditions for oil, ghee, raw materials and packaging materials.
- Monitor product handling, hygiene and storage practices.
- Ensure adherence to FIFO/FEFO and batch traceability requirements.
- Identify and report damaged, expired, deteriorated or non-conforming stock.
7. Quality Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of raw material inspection, in-process testing, finished goods testing, batch release, laboratory reports, non-conformities, CAPA, quality audits and customer complaints.
- Prepare regular quality reports and highlight recurring quality issues.
- Maintain proper batch-wise traceability and quality documentation.
8. Customer Complaints & CAPA
- Support investigation of product quality complaints.
- Conduct root-cause analysis in coordination with Production and Operations.
- Recommend and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Track complaint closure and ensure preventive measures are implemented.
9. Regulatory & Food Safety Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable FSSAI and food safety requirements.
- Working knowledge of GMP, GHP and HACCP is expected.
- Keep track of applicable quality and food safety requirements relevant to Anveshan's product categories.
- Support regulatory and third-party inspections/audits.
10. Field & Vendor Visits
- Travel to manufacturing units, warehouses, suppliers and other locations as required.
- Conduct quality inspections and audits at vendor/partner locations.
- Support supplier quality improvement and issue resolution.
Candidate Profile
Education
- B.Tech/B.Sc./M.Sc. in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or a related field.
Experience:
- 24 years of relevant experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance within FMCG or Food Manufacturing.
- Experience in edible oil, ghee, dairy, food processing or similar categories will be preferred.
Must-Have Skills
- Hands-on experience in raw material, in-process and finished product quality checks.
- Understanding of food quality parameters and testing procedures.
- Knowledge of FSSAI, GMP, GHP and HACCP.
- Valuable understanding of quality documentation and batch traceability.
- Experience in handling quality deviations, NCRs and CAPA.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work closely with Production, Procurement, Warehouse and Operations teams.
- Willingness to travel as part of the role.
