The QC Engineer ensures that high-precision CNC-machined tube fittings (couplings, adapters, elbows, tees, and custom connectors) meet customer specifications, dimensional tolerances, and industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, DIN). This role oversees end-to-end quality—from incoming raw materials to final pre-dispatch inspection—and maintains quality documentation for customer audits.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspection &
- Testing:

Perform incoming material, in-process, and final pre-dispatch inspections of CNC-machined fittings using precision instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, thread pitch gauges, optical comparators, and surface roughness testers).

- Process Quality Control: Conduct first-article inspections (FAI) after current setup changes on CNC turning and milling centers. Establish and monitor operator self-inspection checklists.

- Non-Conformance &

- Root Cause Analysis:

Log non-conformance reports (NCRs), quarantine defective stock, and coordinate with CNC programmers and operators to drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions (CAPA).

- Calibration Management:



Maintain and manage calibration schedules for all shop-floor measuring equipment and gauges.

- Documentation &

- Compliance:

Maintain material test certificates (MTCs), inspection reports, and ISO quality manual compliance.

Prepare

Certificate of Conformance (CoC) documents for dispatched goods.

Required Qualifications &

- Skills

- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering.

- Experience: 1-2 years of quality control experience in a precision machining or CNC workshop (experience with tube fittings, valves, or hydraulic components preferred).

- Blueprint Reading: Strong proficiency in reading 2D drawings, and GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

- Instrument Expertise: Hands-on experience with thread plug/ring gauges, micrometers, bore gauges, vernier calipers.

Work Environment &

- Physical Demands

- Active presence on the shop floor around CNC turning Lathes.

- Hands-on inspection of small metal components (stainless steel, brass, alloy steels).

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
