We are looking for an experienced QMR / AS9100D Certification Lead to take complete, hands-on ownership of building and certifying the company’s AS9100D Aerospace Quality Management System (AQMS) — from Gap Assessment through QMS implementation, internal audits, Management Review, and Certification Body Stage 1 & 2 audits, to final certification. This is an implementation role, not a documentation or QC role, and requires independently driving the project across all functions while working directly with Top Management.

Key Responsibilities● Conduct AS9100D Gap Assessment and build the implementation roadmap; map QMS processes, procedures, and records; set Quality Policy, objectives, KPIs, and risk/opportunity management.

● Own Certification Body coordination end-to-end: planning, Stage 1 & Stage 2 audit preparation, finding closure, and surveillance-audit readiness.

● Implement aerospace-specific controls: risk management, product safety, configuration management, counterfeit parts prevention, traceability, special processes, AS9102 FAI, and change management.

● Run the internal audit programme and Management Review cycle — audit planning, auditor training, NCR/CAPA, root-cause analysis, and effectiveness verification.

● Establish and manage supplier quality: qualification, Approved Supplier List, risk assessment, performance monitoring, audits, and NCR/CAPA.

● Ensure customer/contract quality requirements are identified, reviewed, and flowed into operations; interface with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations.

● Control QMS documentation and records (manual, procedures, inspection/calibration/training/audit records) and maintain a Quality Dashboard (complaints, OTD, NCR/CAPA, audit and calibration status, COPQ) for Top Management reporting.

Must-Have Qualifications & Experience● B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace, Production,



Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering discipline.

● 7-10 years total experience, including minimum 5 years in Quality/QMS leadership.

● Aerospace / Defence / Aviation / high-reliability engineering background.

● Strong working knowledge of AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015; formal Internal Auditor training.

● Experience with Certification Body audits, NCR/CAPA systems, root-cause analysis, and supplier quality.

● Comfortable presenting QMS performance to Top Management and driving cross-functional teams.

Preferred / Desirable● Experience with aerospace/defence manufacturing, avionics, precision engineering, MRO, or government/defence customers (HAL, DRDO, IAF, Indian defence ecosystem).

● Practical, hands-on experience implementing or significantly upgrading an AS9100D QMS (not just maintaining an already-certified system).

● Personally led at least one complete AS9100 certification cycle: Gap Assessment → Documentation → Implementation → Internal Audit → Management Review → Stage 1 → Stage 2 → Certification.

● Exposure to customer/supplier audits, AS9102 FAI, Configuration Management, Product Safety, and Counterfeit Parts Prevention.

● AS9100D / ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ASQ CQA/CQE, or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt (valuable, not mandatory if hands-on implementation experience is solid).

● PG qualification in Quality Management.

Reporting & AuthorityReports directly to the Managing Director/CEO, with functional authority across Engineering, Procurement, Operations, Inspection, Stores, Projects, Sales/Contracts, and Administration, and unrestricted access to Top Management on QMS and certification matters.

Success CriterionSuccessful AS9100D certification of the company’s defined scope, followed by a sustainable QMS that passes subsequent surveillance audits and meets customer and aerospace/defence quality requirements.
