We are looking for a developer-first QE Automation / SDET Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Java development, test automation framework development, and performance testing.

The ideal candidate should have a strong software engineering mindset and be capable of designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining automation frameworks and performance testing solutions.

This is not a traditional manual QA role; strong coding and development skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Java and modern automation tools.

Develop and enhance automated test suites for web, API, mobile, and distributed applications.

Build automation solutions using Playwright, with experience in Selenium or Cypress considered relevant.

Perform performance and load testing using JMeter and/or Gatling.

Design and execute API automation and testing for REST-based services.

Work with REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, authentication mechanisms, and service integrations.

Develop mobile automation solutions using Appium.

Use WireMock or similar service virtualization/mocking tools for testing distributed applications and dependent services.

Analyze application and test performance using logs, metrics, response times, throughput, error rates, and resource utilization.

Identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Debug automation failures and application issues through effective root-cause analysis.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.





Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, Agile ceremonies, and engineering best practices.

Collaborate closely with developers, architects, product teams, and other QA/QE engineers to improve product quality.

Contribute to improving test coverage, automation reliability, execution efficiency, and overall engineering quality.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience in Java development.

Strong understanding of OOP, design principles, data structures, and clean coding practices.

Experience in test automation framework development.

Solid experience with Playwright; Selenium/Cypress experience is also relevant.

Hands-on experience with performance testing using JMeter and/or Gatling.

Strong experience in API testing and automation.

Good understanding of REST services, JSON, HTTP methods, and service integrations.

Hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation.

Experience with WireMock or similar mocking/service virtualization tools.

Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance analysis skills.

Experience working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and code review processes.

Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development practices. Good to Have

Experience with AWS or other cloud environments.

Experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.

Exposure to distributed systems and event-driven architectures.

Experience with messaging/streaming technologies such as Kafka is an advantage.

Experience working with containerized environments such as Docker/Kubernetes is a plus.

Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools is an added advantage.
