We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Engineer - Purchase to support procurement activities and ensure timely availability of materials and services. The candidate should possess basic knowledge and hands-on experience in SAP MM, Purchase Order (PO) management, Vendor Management, RFQ handling, and Price Negotiation. Key Responsibilities
- Create, process, and track Purchase Orders (POs) through SAP MM.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand material and service requirements.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to suppliers and vendors.
- Evaluate vendor quotations based on quality, cost, delivery timelines, and technical compliance.
- Support procurement activities including supplier selection and order placement.
- Conduct commercial discussions and assist in price negotiations to achieve cost savings.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Monitor order status, delivery schedules, and ensure timely procurement of materials.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation in SAP.
- Assist in onboarding recent vendors and managing vendor performance.
- Resolve issues related to material shortages, delayed deliveries, and invoice discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Production, or related discipline).
- 0-2 years of experience in Purchase, Procurement, or Supply Chain functions.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SAP MM (Materials Management) module.
- Understanding of procurement processes, purchase cycle, and vendor management.
