Role & responsibilities

Purchase executive required for a furnishing fabric import and distribution company. As a purchase executive, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the purchase requirement for the company, both international and domestic. You will work closely with the warehouse and production department to ensure timely, efficient and economical procurement for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Import Purchase
- Corresponding with international suppliers for placing order, arranging dispatch and confirming shipment details and co-ordinating between forwarders and suppliers.
- Arranging quotes from various forwarders for the required shipments and awarding nomination based on the best offer, service and timeline.
- Handling import documentation and co-ordinating with CHA for custom clearance.
- Tracking and follow up of the shipments from pick up till delivery along with resolutions if required.
- Domestic Purchase
- Working with the production and warehouse teams to understand the purchase requisition details.




- Arranging quotes from various suppliers for the required product/service and awarding order based on the best offer, service and timeline.
- Handling purchase order documentation and co-ordinating and following up with suppliers for smooth operations.
- Tracking and follow up of the shipments from pick up till delivery along with resolutions if required.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including PR, PO, Bills, AWB, BOE, SB, receipts, etc.
- Prepare regular reports on order status, shipment status and transactions.
- Regular correspondence:
- Work closely with shippers, warehouse team, freight forwarders, transporters and CHA to manage shipment within set timelines and budget.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience: Minimum 5 years

Preference: Married, graduate, residing in Noida, Age 28-40 years, Basic knowledge of computer, Positive English read and write, willing to work as per the time zone of international shippers and customers.
