ABOUT THE ROLE uniqside is an architectural, interior and construction company based in Kochi. We deliver residential and commercial fit-out and civil projects end to end - design, estimation, procurement and execution.

We are looking for a Project Manager who can own a project from handover of drawings to final client sign-off. You will be the single point of accountability for programme, cost, quality and site discipline across two or more live projects at a time. This is a hands-on site role, not a desk role.

We are not fixed on a number of years. Show us the projects you have delivered and we will judge on that.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Planning and programme

- Prepare and maintain project schedules in MS Project or Primavera; set milestones, track the critical path and issue look-ahead plans
- Run weekly site review meetings and circulate daily and weekly progress reports (DPR/WPR)
- Flag slippage early with a recovery plan, not after the deadline has passed

Cost, BOQ and billing
- Review and validate BOQs, quantity take-offs and rate analyses before work is released
- Control project cost against the approved budget; track variations and get them approved in writing
- Certify contractor and vendor bills, check measurements at site, and coordinate client billing

Procurement and vendors
- Plan material requirements against the programme so nothing stops site
- Float enquiries, compare quotations, negotiate and place orders with vendors and subcontractors
- Manage subcontractor scope, deployment and performance - carpentry, joinery, modular, painting, flooring, MEP

Site execution and quality
- Read and interpret working drawings, GFC drawings and shop drawings; resolve drawing queries with the design team
- Supervise execution to drawing, specification and finish standard; carry out snagging and de-snagging
- Enforce housekeeping and site safety; maintain measurement books, registers and photo records

Client and stakeholder management
- Be the client's main contact through execution - updates, approvals,



material and finish selections
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, structural and MEP teams
- Manage handover: as-built documentation, warranties, completion certificate and closing the final account

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Essential qualification

- M.Tech / M.E. in Civil Engineering - Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, or a related civil specialisation
- B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering at undergraduate level

Applications without an M.Tech in a civil discipline will not be considered for this role.

Also essential

- Experience managing construction or interior fit-out projects, with a period of independent site responsibility
- A record of delivering projects to programme and budget - be ready to talk us through two of yours
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project or Primavera, and MS Excel
- Confident reading working and shop drawings and taking site measurements

- Fluent Malayalam and English
- Two-wheeler or car with a valid licence, for site visits

Preferred
- Turnkey interior fit-out, modular furniture or joinery-heavy projects

- Exposure to MEP coordination
- Experience handling client billing and final accounts
- Published research or a dissertation in construction management, structures or project delivery
